Watching her has reminded me that we all begin with a
voice that’s unapologetic, honest and unfiltered.
And somewhere along the way, we learn to quiet it.
I never want her to shrink in the ways I did. I never want
her to feel she has to edit herself to be accepted.
And I never want her to believe she has to sound like
someone else to be heard.
